The Line 6 Edit files used for backing up Bass POD XT patches is incompatible with the more modern Gearbox editor and plugin. This has made the Bass POD XT sounds off-limits to Gearbox users until now. Here are all the factory presets from Bass POD XT Live and Bass POD XT for use with Gearbox. You can use these bass sounds with TonePort, POD X3, POD XT with bass model pack, Gearbox Plugin, or any other Line 6 product that supports the Gearbox patch format. Use them live, use them at practice, use them in your home studio, use them with your Gearbox plugin in your DAW!

Downloaded the patches tried to open them but received a message stating that they are not compatible with Bass Pod XT Live.
Why is this?
They are not compatible with Bass POD XT Live. These are the patches from Bass POD XT that can be loaded into Gearbox with any Gearbox compatible device. There is no Bass POD that is compatible with Gearbox. Therefore these patches will not work with any Bass POD. These are the default Bass POD XT factory patches though, so you already have them.
Can I use these with the X3Live?
it is stated “You can use these bass sounds with any of the following hardware as long as the corresponding bass amp and effects models are installed” sooo… if I dont have the amp installed I will not be able to try these?
POD X3 already has ALL the amp models installed. So you can absolutely use these with any X3.

Just curious: How did you get them?
If you use Line 6 Monkey to get this presets into your POD, you’ll have to load them one by one which is a pain.

Which will allow you to load all of these presets at once.
Patches 10D to 32D are the ones you’re interested in, you can selct to load only those into your POD and ignore the ones from 1A to 10C.

I got them by looking at my Bass POD XT and copying the settings to Gearbox! It was time consuming, but worth it.
