The fabled Lincoln Brewster POD patches are one of the most often requested items in the Line 6 community. Here are screenshots of them for those of you who are unable to use Line 6 Edit on your machines!
Don’t feel like sifting through dozens of patches? I’ve created compact patch files that take into account all the commonalities of Lincoln Brewster’s tone and made a small downloadable package with the Gearbox files. Get it from my other page about Lincoln Brewster’s guitar tones.

I downloaded Lincoln’s patches and the EQ settings were different on the low end: LO – +9.0, LM – +4.0, HM – +3.0, HI – -1.8. So what is the EQ setting he really uses? Why is mine downloading differently?
These are the patches from his XT Live. My other page is a more in-depth study of his tone:
http://benvesco.com/tonemonster/gearbox/2008/pod-lincoln-brewster-tone-study/
and he may have slightly tweaked versions on his site now.
I’ve got a question about the LB patches. I’ve got most of them on my POD xt live but when I first put them in they sounded really muddy and mid range-y and I was wondering how you I can add some twang to these patches. I play a strat with Fender Vint Noiseless pups. Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Can you build the tone using the pod hd500 and post the results? I know he uses the park amp model.
Thanks
Can someone tell me how to apply this in pod HD300?
Thanks
I noticed that the comp is after the amp in the LB XT Live patches. Is that the order Lincoln uses it? seems like it should be before the amp.
That XT compressor is permanently post amp. It’s not possible to move it before the amp. So yes, this is the way LB had his patches structured.
